HERE ARE THE FACTS:
YOU DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE A NEW TV OR GET A CONVERTER BOX
Consolidated would like to clarify the numerous misconceptions about what will happen on Feb. 17, 2009. That is the date every major broadcaster in America drops their analog signal and switches to digital. THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT THIS AFFECTS ARE THOSE WHO GET THEIR TV PROGRAMMING FROM AN OFF AIR ANTENNA. It does NOT affect customers that have cable or satellite TV. Consolidated will be converting the signal for our customers so you will not need to do anything nor do you need to purchase a new television set because of this conversion.
We have been asked by many of our customers for clarification so we hope this simple explanation puts your mind at ease.
