Is shared printing giving you a headache?

Maybe it’s time to reconsider your printing options. Shared desktop printing is great for home use but it wasn’t designed as a standard practice for business use. Did you know….

  • The cost of one networked workgroup printer is often less than the combined cost of all the printers it replaces!
  • Workers are less likely to print personal or unnecessary documents when printing to a workgroup printer. IMAGINE the cost savings in paper supplies alone!
  • Printing is 2 to 5 times faster on a networked workgroup printer
  • Workgroup printing is more secure than desktop printing; when needed a user can enter their unique code at the printer panel to start printing of sensitive material documents
  • Laser printer manufacturers are Earth-Friendly; many have quick and easy recycling processes such as using the same packaging to return used cartridges with postage free mailing labels included!

BUYERS TIP: When purchasing HP printers look for the letter “n” near the end of the model number for workgroup networkable printers (i.e. 2030n, 3500dtn). Other buzz words to look for in the description as installed components are RJ-45, Ethernet, or jet direct.

Voicemail

Returning calls to a customer in a timely manner can be the difference between getting the sale or not or keeping a customer or not. How can voice mail help me?

Voicemail:

  • Will answer one line or multiple lines, even if there is no answer or the lines are busy
  • Allows you to have individual mailboxes with custom greetings for each employee (maximum of 9)
  • Gives you both an audio and visual indicator when you have a new voicemail message*
  • Will forward a voicemail message to an e-mail address!
  • Can alert you via your cell phone when you have a new message
  • You can easily change your forwarding options online at https://myphone.consolidatedtelcom.com/Portal/**
  • Allows you to retrieve messages away from the office
  • Works during a power outage

*No visual indicator on your phone system or a phone that does not support voicemail
**There are some restrictions
